Over time I have engaged in a number of unpaid “extra” professional projects which I felt were worthy, here are two examples:

 

Satellite proposal for One Laptop Per Child project (XOSat)

 

Small Radio Telescope for teaching (SRT)

 

I have also advised a number of small schools and Universities in Minnesota and Wisconsin regarding network infrastructure, and in the early days on the coming of the “Internet” 😉
